Chuck Berry

We learned last evening that Chuck Berry went on ahead.  He was 91 years old.

Charles Edward Anderson "Chuck" Berry (October 18, 1926 – March 18, 2017) was an American guitarist, singer and songwriter and one of the pioneers of rock.  Chuck Berry is widely acknowledged as The Father of Rock and Roll music.  Known for his "Duck Walk" while playing guitar, Chuck Berry wrote many of the early hit songs of the genre.

John Lennon was quoted as saying, "If they needed another name for Rock n Roll they should just use 'Chuck Berry'."

Don Scardino said, "Heaven is rocking tonight."

Bruce Springsteen said, "Chuck Berry was rock's greatest practitioner, guitarist, and the greatest pure rock 'n' roll writer who ever lived."

Chuck Berry said:

"I'm gonna write a little letter,

Gonna mail it to my local DJ

It's a rockin' rhythm record

I want my jockey to play

Roll over Beethoven, I gotta hear it again today.

You know, my temperature's risin'
And the jukebox blows a fuse
My heart's beatin' rhythm
And my soul keeps on singin' the blues
Roll over Beethoven and tell Tchaikovsky the news"

Can you imagine the jam in the Spirit, with so many of the most talented and creative musicians and artists together for an encore performance?

Please ask your Divine Spirit Teachers and Guides to send Strong Prayers of Healing to Chuck Berry, so that he may be guided on his path.  Help him to be reunited with so many of those who followed him in our history of Rock and, like John Lennon, gave us all so much pleasure over the years.

And may your Good Deeds be returned to you, many-fold.  Thank you all, very much!  Rock On!
